New Company, New Brand, Same Stage1 min read
This November, we’re hosting the official PERQ launch at our office in Indianapolis. This launch party will showcase our revamped office and give us the opportunity to talk about our journey as a company. One aspect we’re really excited about is our opportunity to host our very first Verge event.
For those of you that may be unfamiliar with Verge, it is one of the largest meet ups for entrepreneurs in the Midwest. At over 2,000 members, Verge has become a staple in the Indianapolis community. What many don’t realize, however, is that Verge has also been a staple in the world of PERQ and its employees for years. A brief timeline:
Matt Hunckler, who would go on to found Verge, visits the CIK office to see an “Evening with a CEO” presentation by CEO Scott Hill. He introduces himself and the two become friends.
Verge (then called “Hackers and Founders”) has its first official meeting with Scott Hill as the guest speaker.
CIK Enterprises becomes a Verge sponsor and has remained one ever since.
Scott hires Tony Monteleone, an organizer at Verge, to launch a new startup with him called BizProps, this would eventually become PERQ Retail.
Tim Hickle, a member of PERQ’s new marketing team, is brought on as the Social Media Manager at Verge.

PERQ welcomes the Verge community into their home for the first time to launch their new brand.
The launch party is completely free and features an open bar, free food, a DJ, door prizes, and a fireside chat with PERQ CEO, Scott Hill.
