Portrait Of Young Man Shouting With A Megaphone Everyone holds promotions, but, frankly, a lot of companies and dealerships aren’t taking full advantage of all the perks a promotion can give their business. Those businesses need to up their game. Here’s how to do it.

Consistent Advertising

You’re not going to get people interested if they only see your advertising once. You need to consistently share with the same message over and over again several different ways to the same targeted group of people. No matter how you go about getting your promotional message across, make sure you restate why they should pay attention. Hit your customers with the same call to action five to six times and you’ll get them interested in your promotion and product.

Give Them Something Valuable

Your customers want something valuable, so give it to them! The best way to do this is to give them an incentive. The incentive can come in any form, but it needs to be something people want. You can give them tips, VIP treatment, or actual physical prizes. Whatever you choose, make sure that it’s valuable to more than just a few people and make sure people know about it. If they don’t know, they can’t take advantage of it.

Employee Participation and Support

Get your employees to buy into what you’re doing. Don’t just tell employees that there’s a promotion going on. Educate them, get them excited about the promotion, and make sure they want to tell people about it. Energy is what you’re going for here. They need to know and believe in the promotion, so that everyone who walks in the door is going to hear about how great it is. Make your promotion great and your employees will get pumped.

Well-Coordinated Plan of Advertising

It might seem obvious, but you’d be surprised how many promotions start off without a plan of attack. You need a plan. If you don’t have one, get one. Spend some time on it too. Don’t just come up with it quickly at the weekly staff meeting. Take some time to really think it through; get input from employees and colleagues. If you’re not excited about your promotion, your customers will be able to tell, and you won’t get the results you want to see.

Live Analytics

You need to see what’s going on as it happens. Live analytics are essential because you’ll be able to know how successful your promotion is while it’s happening. Don’t wait until it’s over and then wish you could have made changes to make it better. Make changes on the fly. As information comes in, look it over and adjust as needed. If you want your promotion to be as successful as possible, you need to catch problems as they happen. Don’t accept failure, ever. Readjust and adapt your promotion until it works as intended. Live analytics will help you get there.
